Tallest Buildings in India
The 42
The 42 is the largest building in India measuring 268 meters high. It is a skyscraper residential building built in Kolkata. The construction of this building was proposed back in 2008, however, it began in 2010. The building was designed by Hafeez and developed by the Mani Sattva Group, Diamond Group, and the Alcove Realty Group. It has 62 floors which have been allocated different functionalities. Before the completion of this building, the ITC Company went to the Calcutta High Court and filed a civil suit against its construction. ITC complained that the height of the building was denying them their right to receive light and air. Consequently, the court ordered the developers of The 42 building not to make any advancement.
One Avighna Park
One Avighna Park is located at the center of Lower Pare, in Mumbai city. It is a twin-tower measuring 266 meters high; it is the second tallest residential building in India. One Avighna Park is a 61-story building that is used to perform various functions. The building is made up of seven rehabilitation towers and attractive residential towers.
Imperial Tower I
The Imperial Tower I is located in Mumbai. This building is a residential complex. The construction of this building was initiated in 2002 and completed in 2010. The Imperial Tower I is the third tallest building in India after the One Avighna Parka and the 42. This building has a maximum height of 256 meters and contains 60 floors. It is also one of the creations of architect Hafeez. Notably, the building was built from a slum land located to the South of Mumbai.
Imperial Tower II
The Imperial Tower II is the twin tower of Imperial Tower I. Just like the Imperial Tower I, this building is located in South Mumbai. The height of this building is also 256 meters making it also the third tallest building in India. The Imperial Tower II is made up of 60 floors and contains 17 elevators. Both the Imperial Tower I and the Imperial Tower II are commonly referred to as the imperial towers.
Future Structures
According to a report by the Hindustan Times, India is developing Dubai Creek Tower to be one of the tallest buildings in the world. The new building is expected to entail business offices, office space, and be a space for entertainment purposes.
