The Colorado Plateau is a vast area that stretches from Utah, parts of Colorado, Arizona, and through to New Mexico. Telluride, CO

Telluride is the perfect cozy small town. It has a small and close-knit downtown area, measuring just eight blocks across and 12 blocks long. But despite being small, the little Colorado town is warm and welcoming and a great place for visitors to enjoy the scenic mountainscapes and small-town vibes. The cozy town is tucked into a box canyon surrounded by towering mountain peaks, creating a quaint atmosphere. The historical downtown is lined with Victorian-style buildings and the history of the old gold rush. The entire downtown is designated a National Historic Landmark District. Jemez Springs looks like a scene from a postcard. This small New Mexico town is only an hour outside of Albuquerque and a great cozy option for visitors looking for something quaint and charming. Like Durango, Jemez Springs also has natural hot springs. Enjoy the unaltered Spence Hot Springs or Soda Dam, both located in the Santa Fe National Forest. Hike the scenic trails then soak in the relaxing warm waters.
