Its warm atmosphere and strong sense of community pull visitors in, inviting them to pop into adorable mom-and-pop shops and eateries and engage in local musical events.
When it comes to nature, this is your spot. The town of Grand Rapids sits right in the midst of the Mississippi River Grand Rapids Watershed Region, which is home to forests, wetlands, and 1,251 miles of river with a grand total of 618 descent-sized lakes (and many more tiny ones) spread throughout. Swim, boat, birdwatch, fish, kayak, and lounge by the tranquil shores of your chosen waterway.
