Most are familiar with the state capital of Utah, Salt Lake City. But just north of the capital, off Interstate 15, lies the town of just under 8,000 residents, Plain City. During the wintertime, you can hop across I-15 and enjoy skiing at the Ogden Nordic Ski Resort. Feel free to arrange a Great Salt Lake boat tour that will show and educate passengers about the unique sites and facts surrounding the one-of-a-kind lake. Because the town is part of the greater Ogden, Utah area, there is more shopping than you'll normally find for an off-the-grid town.
