Colorado has an incredible state capital in Denver, attracting many visitors and new residents to its fantastic location in "the Centennial State." The city has unique and affordable neighborhoods that newcomers will be happy to call home, and it gives people excellent access to the state's immaculate natural wonders. According to Zillow, the average price of a home is around $570,000, making the "Mile High City" more affordable than places like Los Angeles or New York. Here are six incredible neighborhoods in Denver for anyone looking to call it home.

Jefferson Park is next to downtown and gives residents access to Empower Field at Mile High. Homes are adjacent to the South Platte River, with wonderful parks to enjoy. It's a small neighborhood where residents can walk or bike to get around the community.

Across from the public park is the Briar Common Brewery + Eatery, which features a fantastic beer garden that allows dogs and an incredible rooftop patio with a fire pit. Another restaurant to explore in Jefferson Park is Curry Grill Restaurant & Bar, an Indian eatery right off 25th Avenue and Eliot Street. Residents can savor amazing dishes, such as chicken curry and masala, in a charming area of the southwestern part of the neighborhood.

However, the average home price in Jefferson Park is around $690,000, more expensive than the average in Denver, but it's a lovely place to call home. The neighborhood features a diverse range of architecture, from Victorian-style homes to modern residences and small apartments, offering residents stunning views of downtown.

The River North Art District is also known as RiNo. Technically part of the Five Points neighborhood, it was initially an industrial district that transformed into an art and cultural epicenter by 2005.

Historic factories are now restaurants, jazz bars, art galleries, and working studios, creating an incredibly diverse scene. Globe Hall offers live music, BBQ, and drinks. The Plinith Gallery, also in RiNo, has contemporary ceramic art from Jonathan Kaplan and other artists.

The average price of a home in RiNo is around $240,000. Prices for homes and properties increase depending on their location within. Despite that, RiNo is one of the fastest-growing downtown neighborhoods in the country. There are few original houses, but home buyers and apartment renters can find newer homes and apartments to call home in the neighborhood.

These schools and a few parks, like Lisbon Park, make Gateway Green a wonderful place to raise a family.

Gateway Green doesn't have many local restaurants. However, the Green Valley Ranch Golf Club has a restaurant called The Smokehouse at Green Valley Ranch, which offers visitors and club members all kinds of exciting things to try on their menus. Also, it has what is regarded as one of the best golf courses in the state. Another place to explore in Gateway Green is the Green Valley Ranch Beer Garden, which serves hot dogs, local and well-known beers, and much more.

According to Zillow, the average price of a home in Gateway Green is around $495,685. The neighborhood also gives residents easy access to major highways like Interstate 70/U.S. 36, which heads west into downtown.
