About LGBTQ History
"LGBTQ" stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer. LGBTQ history dates back to antiquity but has only become revered by society in recent years. The Netherlands, Belgium, and Canada became the first countries to legalize same-sex marriage in the early 2000s. Although the rights of LGBTQ people around the world are not distributed evenly, there are improvements being made with each year that moves forward. However, despite this, there are still many countries around the world where same-sex relationships are illegal.
