Jason Phillips is a bohemian traveler and writer who has a passion for sharing his stories with others. His love of travel started at an early age growing up in a Navy family. As a young man, he worked onboard US flagged tugs and barges and traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean, Mexico, and the Eastern Seaboard. As a foodie, Jason eagerly wandered through these port cities looking for authentic and unique recipes and ingredients. He discovered that food is the greatest cultural unifier and happily dined with locals, often in their homes. This eye opening experience led him to publish a travel memoir and cookbook, The Sea Cook: Recipes and Tales From The Galley in 2021.
