Crabtree Falls

Crabtree Falls in Nelson County is a series of five main cascades and several other smaller falls totaling 1,200 feet and representing the highest vertical drops east of the Mississippi River. The series of waterfalls feature one of the most colorful and luxurious foliage scenery as the cascading waters are flanked by the charming glow of red, orange, and yellow flora. The waterfalls also offer a unique way of exploring them on a steep trail known as the Crabtree Falls Trail.
